Your Impact:

Following the development of our Travel Service Optimisation (TSO) tool, our Growth & Sales EMEA team are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Growth Manager - Digital Product to join our team.

This role can be based from any of our key locations including; London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Winnersh or Leeds.

Travel Service Optimization has been designed to ease planning and management of SEND transportation and to improve the travel experiences of SEND children and young people. Differing from traditional transport planning approaches, we focus on passengers first, being sensitive to their wish to share home-to-school travel experiences. A digital cloud-based platform, TSO helps local authorities manage pupil journey changes and compare different scenarios quickly, while delivering within tight budgets. TSO semi-automates process, affording planners time to meet passenger aspirations.

We are seeking a self motivated senior professional with a demonstrated track record for identifying and developing digital product opportunities with existing and new clients, who will look ahead to achieve growth in line with the business plan.

The Senior Growth Manager - Digital Product will report into our Sector Growth Director – Strategic Consulting. The Sales Lead’s aim will be to develop and grow a new market for this digital offering within the Local Authority sector. This will include identifying and developing opportunities and taking the lead on strategic marketing and sales activities. You will work in partnership with our Client Account Managers and Product Delivery Leads, utilising your leadership skills to question our client and project portfolios and ensure alignment with business strategic goals.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future direction of our Digital Delivery tools.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will come with an entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new and innovative sales approach and business models to win market share for a new technology enabled service of Travel Service Optimisation (TSO) in the Local Authority Market place. The goals of this position include both a strategy for growth as well as sales implementation. The TSO Digital Product Sales Lead will have responsibility for TSO sales results in the Europe region.

Growth Strategy

  • Achieve maximum profitable growth for the service in line with organizational vision and strategic objectives

  • Establish and own plans and sales strategies, to serve and expand customer base

  • Interlock with digital product management and the sales organizations of Jacobs

  • Co-develop and implement strategy for digital services in close collaboration with digital marketing and market growth directors

Sales Implementation

  • Support regional operations leaders to meet their Operating Margin targets

  • Define market, provide outlook and account strategies

  • Identify new opportunities within existing accounts to ensure long term growth.

  • Identify potential TSO adjacencies

  • Build the pipeline of opportunities. Qualify potential leads.

  • Own commercial negotiations, develop customer related pricing and terms & conditions strategies in order to successfully convert opportunities.

  • Work with the Jacobs product team on new customer features.

  • Coordinate activities with other functions and across region to achieve overall business results

  • Working with other product and new service teams, build processes where none exist to enable outcome selling and work to ensure processes are efficient and sustainable.

  • Be the ambassador of digital services with our clients

  • Promote value and consultative selling

  • Together with marketing and product management develop market maps, market sizing, pricing maps and competitor intelligence

  • Be the expertise and mindset of our buyers on how they buy and their buying criteria, transferring the knowledge to the wider sales teams

  • Work across digital marketing, product, and sales functions to pull together compelling offers including pricing strategies, to drive interest and demand within target segments

  • Help craft and communicate the industry specific value propositions for new feature launches.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • A passion for making a difference

  • 5+ years of proven track record of digital technology sales success, developing, organizing and implementing sales plans, meeting and exceeding sales targets and finding new accounts/markets/competition through proficiency in prospecting, lead qualification, sales and negotiations, preferably in a Services organization

  • Demonstrated selling skills, analytical skills and market / industry acumen

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities through effective organizational, people, and time management skills

  • Applies a range of traditional and non-traditional problem-solving techniques to think through and solve issues creatively to improve performance and company effectiveness.

  • Ability to build rapport and relationships by interacting effectively with employees and external contacts at all levels, demonstrating the awareness of their needs and responding with the appropriate action

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong influencing, interpersonal and networking skills to drive collaborative culture at all levels

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
