Undertake meteorological and air dispersion modelling (e.g. CALPUFF, AERMOD, TAPM) and analytical research, calculations for air quality projects. Preparation of reports, specifications, proposals and other documentation with limited guidance. Provision of technical advice to internal and external clients.
May lead small projects or components of larger projects with manageable risks and resource requirements. Assist in helping to deliver air quality projects throughout ANZ with a longer term view towards also developing clients and workloads in local markets. Assist in setting and meeting agreed budgets as part of fee proposals and bid submissions. Build peer relationships and networks.
Represent Jacobs and/or the industry/profession as appropriate, e.g. involvement in professional bodies, industry events, and conferences. Provide informal guidance to new team members. Submitting high quality, accurate work. Providing information in an articulate and organised manner, within the agreed timeframes and to designated budgets.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Preferably Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent qualification ·with eligibility for membership with applicable professional organisations e.g. CASANZ. Good communication and interpersonal skills. A working knowledge and experience in air quality preferably across more than one sector/industry. Experience with two or more of CALPUFF, AERMOD & TAPM modelling packages.
Understanding of air quality regulations and standards, with knowledge of Australian and New Zealand requirements being an advantage. Commercial awareness. Understanding of client needs, internal and external. Ability to relate and work well with people at all levels within the team.
Maintains high standards. Creative, Organised, noting the role involves providing remote support to teams in ANZ (applicable to remote teams only). Ability to think analytically and logically. Stays open to different ideas, approaches and styles. Demonstrates personal commitment to the team. Sound written and verbal English.
