Your Impact:

This position is to provide IT support to the Jacobs MBOS Navy contract at Naval Station Mayport (including Navy Marine Corps Blount Island) and the Jacobs Kings Bay Navy Contract in Camden County, Ga. In order to qualify you must be able to pass a background check at each location.

This position will be focused around supplementing the back-office corporate support of the existing contract IT systems and assisting in the implementation of our mobile workforce solutions on site.

Responsibilities: ​

Conduct training courses, customer webinars, on-site customer training, and user group sessions Establish effective relationships throughout the organization, both within IT and across business units/customers/stakeholders to identify/address gaps in user training.

Provide user training support with IT product launches and go-lives.

Administer user account creations, resets, and lock outs.

Provide Application administration for IBM Maximo and SharePoint.

Provide entry level database querying and reporting and entry level application, handheld development.

Remediate and respond to incoming emails and calls concerning computer, network, telephone, hardware/software problems as needs when corporate support is not available.

Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user desktop and mobile device hardware, software, networked peripheral devices, cabling, and networking hardware and software support.

Recommend, schedule and perform computer hardware and peripheral equipment upgrades, improvements, and repairs.

Conduct research on computer products in support of computer procurement and development efforts.

Enter all problem requests into the help desk tracking software and resolve or escalate when appropriate.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Minimum:

  • Associates Degree - Computer Science (or equivalent education and experience equal to)

  • Knowledge of various computer, tablet operating systems and their applications

  • Prior to experience supporting customers with software and hardware technical issues

  • Ability to provide analysis of reports to other departments

  • Effective time and self-management skills

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Troubleshoot onsite desktop and network issues.

Certificate/License/Registration

  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Skills

  • Professional or Personnel understanding of SQL queries and web programming concepts and web languages.

  • IBM Maximo system experience.
