Your Impact:

Jacobs has an opportunity for an experienced Principal Overhead Wiring Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. The Principal Overhead Wiring Engineer is responsible for providing consultancy and engineering services in the ANZ region.

You will lead technical input and direction in the design, rehabilitation and management of rail overhead infrastructure for light and heavy rail. This will have a primary focus on OHW and interfacing power systems. You will develop, design and facilitate the documentation of rail overhead engineering solutions in response to client’s brief to and industry standard. You will lead technical input and undertake rail overhead wiring design for transport projects in accordance with relevant local and Australian standards. You will lead the coordination and communication of rail overhead wiring designs with other disciplines. You will lead the preparation of design drawings, technical specifications and design/project reports.

You will drive business development and be responsible for work winning, identify the next opportunities and support the win of the opportunities. You will develop and maintain strong key client relationships – act as a trusted advisor to a select group of Jacobs key clients across the public and private sector. You will support your area to ensure it can thrive in a global setting, encouraging cross-geography relationships in order to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people. #ANZTransport #APMETransport #LI-DG1

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering

• Previous senior leadership experience and demonstrated contribution to a culture of excellence in quality work and successful projects

• Ability to maintain and build on existing client relationships, internal and external, through an understanding of client needs and effective communication.
