Our Structures team is seeking a Senior BIM Design Technician to be based in our Melbourne office. The purpose of this role is to operate as a bridge modeller on projects, undertaking complex design tasks and management of drawing deliverables. A key element of the role is to support the DE lead in the implementation of the Digital Engineering workflows for bridge modelling, including content creation where applicable, and updates to maintain currency with industry best practice.

You will have advanced Revit skills and be a competent user of AutoCAD and Navisworks to be able to setup and deliver the structural drafting deliverables on small to medium sized Transport projects. This includes coordinating inputs from other disciplines, inputting into project federated models, managing the production of drawing deliverables using remote teams, and assisting in training as required. Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Cert IV, or Diploma of Engineering Drafting; or Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent (preferred).

• Knowledge of a range of modelling applications (12D, Civil 3D, Revit etc) and CAD skills, with knowledge of data transfer between key software packages.

• The ability to setup and management of modelling deliverables for small to medium projects.

• Knowledge of civil and structural design standards and construction methods.

• Demonstrated understanding of Revit content creation to meet ongoing project demands.
