We are looking for innovators and problem solvers with skills as a Senior Signalling Engineer/Design Manager to join our Melbourne team. This technical expert will lead the technical input and direction in the design, rehabilitation and management of rail signaliing infrastructure for metro and freight heavy rail.

This role is likely to be identified as a Rail Safety Worker position according to the Rail National Safety Law and will be required to conform to the requirements of a Rail Safety Worker, including strict drugs & alcohol policy.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

About you

The successful candidate is expected to hold tertiary qualifications in engineering, and those who are Chartered will be preferred. You should also be experienced in:

  • Extensive capability in Signalling design and T&C – ARO competencies

  • Experience in the delivery of Rail projects in D&C and/or Alliance arrangements

  • Good working knowledge of Computer Based Interlocking design

  • Extensive working knowledge of the ARO standards

  • Broad knowledge of the multi-disciplinary interfaces with Signaling systems

  • Strong understanding of technical standards for design, construction and maintenance

  • Significant experience on large projects

  • Good working knowledge of the local environment, relevant industry, particularly working within the Victorian Rail Industry, VROIGS and local Tier 1 contractors
