With the ongoing success of our APME (Asia Pacific Middle East) business and our strategic agenda to anticipate the needs of our Clients in a way that has not been done before and deliver, innovative end to end solutions, we have a number of significant long-term growth requirements for our teams. This is an exciting time for our APME Buildings & Infrastructure Line of Business. The Technical Director – Geotechnical Engineering is a key leadership opportunity, that will see you lead the Geotechnical area, within our Asia, Pacific and Middle East Region. This role will utilise your technical expertise to deliver innovative solutions for tenders and projects as well as assuring quality of technical outputs from the project teams. You will participate in Technical Leader forums and Communities of Practice as well as the technical and delivery profile of the Geotechnical team to our clients.
This role can be based anywhere in the ANZ region and will report into the Director of Operations with a secondary responsibility to the Regional Solutions Director. The role oversees the quality of technical outputs through the appointment of suitably qualified Technical Leaders within the discipline. You will continue to develop and maintain the framework of Technical Leaders to suit the evolving needs of the technical discipline.
As the successful applicant, you will possess the following skills, expertise and experience:
Strong geotechnical design experience with a good appreciation of the geotechnical design software tools
Good communication skills to articulate a clear technical direction with good social, networking and presentation skills
Significant discipline/ industry presence recognised and valued by Jacobs clients at the national or international level
Recognised as an authority able to work with our teams to solve technical problems and achieve a high level of assurance on project deliverables
Degree and/or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field of study
Membership of a recognised professional institution/organisation preferably at a Fellowship level
Significant consulting experience required including business systems, policies and procedures
