Jacobs has a excellent opportunity for a Technical Director – Rolling Stock for ANZ region to join the team in Melbourne. In the role of Technical Director, you will lead, at the most senior level, a regionally recognised Rolling Stock delivery solution that provides superb value to our existing and future clients. You will be an industry respected technical and delivery exponent, who can help to grow technical offerings and rail market opportunities. You will provide consistent leadership and role modelling of Jacobs’ core values, mentoring and fostering an inclusive and diverse culture across ANZ that embodies Jacobs’ Culture of Caring and prioritises the health and wellbeing of our people. You will work with valued clients, supporting their rolling stock needs and integration, assisting strategic bids, and being a visible industry leader.

You will be engaging with clients in a systematic way to provide subject matter expertise to impact strategy and outcomes. You will assure the quality of technical outputs through the appointment of suitably qualified technical leaders and their assignment to individual tenders and projects You will have the ability to learn quickly and to be able to respond to high profile rolling stock issues, and interface with external parties including the rolling stock industry and clients. Be impartial in your decision making; using sound rolling stock judgement, evidence and knowledge to provide accurate, expert and professional advice will see you excel in this role. #ANZTransport #APMETransport #LI-DG1

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering

• Chartered or Professional Engineer Status

• Experience at a senior level working as a consultant

• Extensive experience on major and multidisciplinary rolling stock projects

• Demonstrated experience specifying, procuring, designing and testing Rolling Stock

• Previous senior leadership experience and demonstrated contribution to a culture of excellence in quality work and successful projects

• Ability to maintain and build on existing client relationships, internal and external, through an understanding of client needs and effective communication

• Experience developing, maintaining and delivering a pipeline of work.
