At Jacobs, quality control is crucial to the success of our projects and the strong relationships we have with our clients. As a Construction Senior CEI Project Engineer, you’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team of QA/QC team members to create QC programs while training and mentoring staff and delivering and assigning team tasks daily. You’ll challenge yourself by reviewing and resolving technical problems and ensuring compliance on inspections and activities of all quality related work. You’ll help keep our company connected and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful.

Excellent opportunity for a Senior CEI Project Engineer to join our FL FDOT team. This is a senior level position overseeing higher level inspectors and engineers in functional areas such as construction inspection and surveying; scheduling and status; roadway design; traffic signal equipment; traffic signalization and geometrics; materials sampling; inspection and testing. Involves significant amount of decision making and use of judgment and includes providing work direction to others.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelors in Civil, Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Management (4 year degree) or Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Management (2 year degree) with ten (10) years of progressive technical experience.

  • PE license in the state of Florida

  • Four (4) years of major road or bridge construction experience

  • Direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program.

  • Attend the CTQP Quality Control Manager course and pass the examination within 1 year

  • Attend FDOT Advanced MOT course and pass the examination within 1 year

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in highway construction; and considerable knowledge of mathematical functions, including algebra, geometry and trigonometry related to highway/transportation engineering.

  • Valid Driver's License
