We are looking for a Sr. Inspector to our team in Florida / Puerto Rico. In this role, you will travel across the South performing inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials and all issues concerning construction of the project. Travel is estimated at 75%  

Main Responsibilities:

  • Determine the acceptability of the day‐to‐day work performed by the contractor

  • Review and recommend accepting or rejecting daily reports submitted by the contractor

  • Performs inspection of the contractor’s quality control procedures

  • Performs material testing and verifies that procedures are in conformance with the approved Quality Control Plan and established procedures.

  • Reviews material testing procedures and results for conformance to the contract and measures quantities of materials placed.

  • May be required to perform sampling and/or in‐place testing of soil, aggregate base, concrete, and asphalt concrete pavement.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • At least 4 years in construction administration/ inspection

  • Previous experience working on projects with roadway excavation and embankment and asphalt paving etc.

  • High School diploma

  • Ability to travel – 75%

  • Valid State’s driver’s license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

  • A technical school graduate or have a bachelor’s degree related to Engineering or Construction Management
