As part of our Highway/Civil Group, you will have the chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale transportation infrastructure projects in the Midwest and nationally utilizing your design experience. Your knowledge will be used to support the transportation team and build relationships with our clients. Jacobs offers a flexible hybrid work environment with some work performed in the office and some from home. Employees are encouraged to coordinate with their team to find the correct balance depending on work needs.
Typical duties include:
Project and/or project task oversight including setting priorities, hands-on involvement in the design process, as well as project financial management
The ability to serve as a technical resource for a multi-disciplined team
Project engineering and management
Business development activities including proposal preparation, project interviews/presentations, and client management
Professional society involvement
Here’s What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation Focus)
At least 10 years of progressive experience as a roadway/highway engineer
Professional Engineer License (PE) in WI (or PE license with ability to attain license in WI within 6 months)
Working knowledge of federal and state design guidelines (WisDOT preferred)
Demonstrated experience working on successful projects of varying size with public agencies
Ability to demonstrate project leadership experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D
Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:
Business development/client services manager experience
Project management experience in transportation design
Strong networks and relationships in the transportation market in Wisconsin
