Perform the role of Facility/Electrical Engineerwith an emphasis on power distribution, low and medium voltage up to13.2Kv. Knowledge of MCCs, transformers,motors, and power distribution systems required. Apply engineering knowledge and skills tosolve wind tunnel facilities problems with systems and equipment. Ability to troubleshoot electrical systemsand equipment. Understanding of rotatingequipment and process flows oil, water, gas, and air systems. Lead projects, manage budgets and schedulesto improve facilities systems performance. Ability to write Statement of Work and Safety Plans. Support procurement processes and manageservice support sub-contractors. Providedirection to Electricians, Mechanics, and other staff disciplines to supportprojects and maintenance efforts. Understanding of maintenance best practices and asset managementincluding MCE testing, electrical motor testing tribology, vibration,thermography, ultrasonic, and other PT&I techniques a plus. Able to work with customer engineers to solvecomplex electrical system problems. Understanding of IEEE standards. Capabilityto support and execute final documentation of projects and facilityrefurbishments. Works independently andas part of multiple discipline teams. The ideal Candidate will have strong personnel interaction skills,strong written and oral communications skills, and be confident leading smallto large multi-disciplined facility projects. An emphasis on continualdevelopment of technical excellence is expected.

Qualifications

A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineeringfrom an accredited engineering program is required. Three (3) to five (5) years relatedengineering experience, or MS degree from an accredited engineeringschool. Position may be filled at ahigher level depending on the applicant’s qualification.

Must have the ability to obtain a securityclearance if required by client. Must be able to accurately communicate ideasverbally and in writing. Must be able to obtain a NASA badge and maintainaccess to the workplace facility. Adhereto appropriate safety, quality, and environmental practice, as well as businessethics practices. Perform other duties as required.
