Jacobs is dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and service at NASA Ames Research Center. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HVAC Supervisor to lead and drive continuous improvement in HVAC maintenance and operations. This role involves overseeing a team of HVAC Technicians and Mechanics while leading advanced maintenance strategies.

This is a full-time position, with benefits that include health, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, 401k, paid holidays, PTO, and paid sick leave. The salary range for this position is $115K – $125K.

HVAC Supervisor Responsibilities

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in our organization, overseeing the maintenance and repair of all HVAC equipment and infrastructure. Some of the key responsibilities include:

· Supervise a team of HVAC technicians and mechanics, providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Improve team accountability, efficiency, and organization.

· Foster a culture of excellence and integrity in HVAC maintenance operations and develop training programs to enhance HVAC skills and knowledge.

· Uphold high safety standards, ensuring that all work performed is complaint with safety and regulations. Ensure HVAC operations comply with federal and NASA-specific regulations.

· Oversee and manage HVAC preventative/predictive maintenance programs and provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and repairs.

· Implement a Reliability-Centered Maintenance approach for HVAC systems. Identify opportunities for improving HVAC systems and efficiency.

· Manage departmental resources within allocated budgets and collaborate with the business office to procure HVAC tools, equipment, and materials.

· Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for HVAC-specific services and ensure contractor performance meets HVAC project specifications.

· Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Generate regular reports on HVAC maintenance performance, budget, and improvements.

· Develop and oversee emergency response plans for maintenance-related incidents or disasters, ensuring the safety of personnel and the protection of assets.

· Act as a key point of contact during emergency situations, coordinating responses and communicating with relevant parties.

· Stay up to date with industry standards and best practices, implementing changes as needed to maintain compliance.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Requirements

· Licensed HVAC/R Journeyman with successful completion of an HVAC/R/DDC apprentice program or equivalent training and education.

· 15 years of experience with maintenance, repair, and operation of DDC systems, cooling, towers, fan coil systems, closed loop water treatment, industrial HVAC/R systems and air balancing.

· Experience managing large craft teams and high volumes of work with proven success.

· Intermediate level skill with MS Office

· Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record

· Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.

· U.S. Citizenship
