We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Project Manager who thrives when people are in sync and projects are running not just on time but within budget. Based in our Monterrey Park, CA office, reporting directly to the Manager of Disputes and Issue Resolution and working alongside other project managers, you’ll be responsible not only for the overall project delivery, but also provide PM/CM oversight and dispute and issue resolution assigned to multiple projects. This may include Design and Procurement but would focus on the overview of the General Contractor and the immediate construction of the project, as well as Controls.
As the onsite Owners Representative, you’ll be responsible for ensuring not only the progress and technical performance of a project, but also the budget, schedule, cost, scope and safety of the team. You will manage Owner/Architect/contractor meetings for multiple concurrent projects from commencing of construction to occupancy by end users. Based at a client site, you will oversee that all work completed by contractors and consultants is of the highest quality with safety being our highest priority. You will also develop and maintain project cost/change controls, project budget, and change order estimates/negotiations. Through this role you will have the opportunity to work on multiple fast-moving projects and larger, long-scheduled projects. Here’s What You’ll Need:
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in an Engineering, Environmental or Construction organization required
Bachelor of Arts or Science in related field
Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building required
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- California (DSA) Education Building experience
