About the Opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Cost Engineer who will be responsible for compiling internal reports and reconciling accounts from multiple systems. This role requires a strong background in accounts and significant experience in financial analysis and reporting. The Cost Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial information is available to support decision-making and project management within the nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile Internal Reports: The Cost Engineer will be responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data from various sources to compile internal reports. These reports will provide insights into project costs, budget variances, and financial performance.

  • Reconcile Accounts: The Cost Engineer will reconcile accounts from multiple systems to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records. This includes identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors, and working closely with other teams to obtain necessary information for reconciliation.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and cost-saving opportunities. The Cost Engineer will analyze project costs, budget forecasts, and actual expenditures to provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts. The Cost Engineer will assist in the preparation of budget plans, monitor budget performance, and provide regular updates on financial status.

  • Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal control procedures. The Cost Engineer will assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting evidence for financial transactions.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, project managers, and senior leadership to provide financial insights and reports. The Cost Engineer will effectively communicate financial information, variance analysis, and cost projections to stakeholders.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Significant experience in accounts, financial analysis, or cost engineering.

  • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.

  • Proficiency in using accounting software and financial systems.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Knowledge of nuclear industry regulations and financial requirements is preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
