We are looking for an Operations Manager to join a dynamic and fast moving team. Details below:


Help to Manage a large proactive team of blue and white collar workers with a positive approach to Project Delivery and Nuclear, Radiological, Conventional and Environmental Safety, to ensure they are embedded within the Project Management teams and operations and that adherence is continuously monitored on the construction site in accordance with approved documentation and standards

Leadership and Management Advisory role, to include but not limited to:

⦁ Providing facilitation, leadership, mentoring and coaching to enhance the team’s general capability.

⦁ Give clear communication, guidance on the required culture, standards and expectations.

⦁ Promote Diversity and Inclusion within the team

⦁ Help to resolve any performance or IR issues with individuals.

⦁ Embed Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) into the team

⦁ Coordinate ISO44001 Collaboration activities

⦁ Involvement with changes to the organisation and operations as required.

⦁ Recruitment from parent Company into the project where necessary.

⦁ Manage disciplinary actions where necessary.

⦁ Manage Jacobs digital systems on behalf of the Project including procurement, timesheets, HR etc

⦁ Promote a positive safety culture

Manage overall programme of works to include:

⦁ Support the timely completion of internal Milestones.

⦁ Ensure that all work is progressed to the required Quality Standards.

⦁ Monitor KPI’s with Project Controls.

⦁ Raise significant issues and risk regarding longer range program delivery.

⦁ Liaison with the Client’s Strategic Planners and Procurement Leads.

⦁ Liaison with Supply Chain.

⦁ Guidance of Design issues on new projects.

⦁ Monthly Reporting as required to the Programme Board

Co-ordination and performance of resources to meet programme requirements, to include:

⦁ Review resource profiles for forward workloads.

⦁ Raise significant long-range resource requirement issues to the lead team.

⦁ Support and advise with the allocation of PM’s to project tasks.

Supporting to the Senior Management Team

⦁ Support to the Project Director and Lead Team in Senior Management meetings.

⦁ Provide inputs to promotional literature, presentations and newsletters.

⦁ Supporting significant performance issues in parent companies.

⦁ Support with ad-hoc performance issues with individuals.

⦁ Supporting Lead team with ad-hoc projects to facilitate team transformation, performance and reputation.

⦁ Help develop procedure and process to enhance functional management.

⦁ Support Project Director with general business development and promotion.

⦁ Implement improvement strategies for business, projects, individuals.

⦁ Support safety and mental health campaigns

⦁ Support Socio Economic activities

⦁ Present Monthly team briefs

Qualifications and Experience

⦁ Strong Experience in Industrial / Project Environments

⦁ Ideally HND or Degree in Engineering

⦁ P4 Pass / SC Cleared would be preferred but not essential

⦁ UK EPC Project Management experience

⦁ Appreciation of CDM, NEC and Project Controls
