Your Impact:

At Jacobs, we push the limits of what’s possible to make the world smarter and more connected. We are tendering for the construction supervision of a Road and Infrastructure works within New Jersey.

By joining us, you’ll involve extensive interface management with stakeholders and contractors. You will provide oversight of the construction process to ensure that the design documentation is safely and accurately implemented on site, and that the requirements of the construction contract are followed.

You will lead a team in monitoring the progress of construction against the program and advising steps to ensure the program is achieved. You will have the opportunity to manage and direct a team of support staff and site Inspectors for the supervision of the project. You will report on progress, safety, financial recommendations, quality control and design modifications. You will develop a trusted relationship with the project team, contractor and with the client’s staff. You will place an emphasis on safe construction practices (Beyond Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction. Lead by example and oversee safe practices on site.

You will report to the Resident Engineer or Project Manager and assist in supervising the project team (inspectors, surveyors, office engineers, etc.).

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Substantial years of experience as a NJDOT/NJTA Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer on construction new and widening of roads, highways, freeways, culverts and/or bridges

• Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, infrastructure and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship

Ideally You Will Also Have:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or other professional qualification
