By joining us as a Project Architect, you’ll research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients in a variety of industries (examples include life sciences, commercial, and transportation), apply knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing of various materials, zoning and building codes, and building systems. You’ll also have the chance to utilize your technical expertise to mentor other professionals including Architects and Designers working closely with technical and engineering discipline leads.

Working together, we’ll help you grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future – big and small, global and local. Your role will include delivering excellence in all phases of projects, from planning through construction documentation, construction administration and close-out. Responsibilities include utilizing computer-assisted design and building information modeling software ‘BIM’ to prepare project documentation, which includes the technical development of the design, creating design visualizations and 3D multi-discipline coordination and clash detection for the projects. As a leader for our architecture team you will oversee project production, day-to-day communication with consultants, engineering disciplines and project team. Other responsibilities include developing and presenting project technical solutions in collaboration with a senior project architect and providing alternatives for client review and approval.

During the delivery of the project the Project Architect will work with the Project Manager and direct, supervise and check activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for all phases of a project while maintaining firm-wide quality standards. In addition you’ll collaborate with the Project Manager in developing, maintaining and revising project budgets to ensure that the project is delivered on time and on budget.

Typical salary range for this position is $73,900 to $97,050- and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor in Architecture from an NCARB accredited program is required

• Architecture Registration (New York, NJ preferred)

• Demonstrated program experience in the usage of Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Adobe suite or Bluebeam

• Expertise with building codes

• Experience with all phases of a building project

• Ability to travel to project sites in the Metropolitan Tri-State area

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

• Masters in Architecture

• Participation in professional organizations

• LEED AP credentials
