As a Civil Engineer and vital member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to design horizontal and vertical track alignments so we can shape lasting solutions for the future. You will perform civil design calculations, develop details, prepare sketches, impact analyses, and similar technical work as required. We’ll ask you to provide quantity calculations to prepare preconstruction cost estimates for rail/transit projects. Working alongside a team, you’ll work on projects from concept to completion.
You’ll be responsible for creating design and drawings using software tools and resources supporting our clients’ overall project goals, including NJ Transit and Amtrak. You’ll support the development of Contract Documents for Construction. Also, by assisting in Construction Phase Services reviewing Contractor submittals and requests for information you’ll ensure we’re doing better together! Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Engineer in Training Certification (EIT)
Has demonstrated years of professional experience on rail and transit projects
Professional expertise with MicroStation and/or InRail (or AutoCad)
Knowledge of AREMA and local railroad criteria
Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills
Demonstrates strong problem solving mindset working in Team Environment
Excellent communication skills
Strong focus on client service
Support plan set development meeting client expectations
