Jacobs is seeking a financial analyst to conduct analysis of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects. The overall responsibilities of this role include processing, compiling, organizing, researching and analyzing business information as well as tracking results, analyzing trends and identifying variances. Develops, recommends and implements processes, procedures, reporting, and systems improvements. Maintaining accurate financial, budgetary and cost control records and preparing accurate and timely reports. Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team. Assist with ad hoc financial analytics and requests. Communication with all teammates including subcontractors and customers.

The successful candidate will have a desire to work in a hands-on and collaborative environment. This position requires initiative, teamwork, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance required.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

The skill set required includes, but is not limited to, the following:

· Manage and maintain Program/Project controls.

· Create and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual reports, providing analytical review of information in clear and concise format as needed, as well as proactive identification of action plans to optimize performance and mitigate risk.

· Assist in developing the annual budget and long-range plan.

· Assist other members of finance in the budget, forecast and pricing or product strategy processes.

· Financial record keeping and accounting practices and techniques.

· Manage financial aspects of subcontracts and interwork agreements (IWA) (i.e., process invoices, complete funding documents, and monitor budgets)

· Process Prime contract invoices.

· Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture.

· Work with PM to resolve various project-related issues that may arise over the course of a project.

· Demonstrated ability to lead others and tasks.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Remote Wording:

  • The base salary range for this position is $80,600 to $99,750. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations .Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance required. Documented high degree of proficiency with MS Office Suite, web-based applications and databases (specifically Excel).

  • BA/BS degree

Essential Functions for Position

Physical Requirements: None

Work Environment: Inside environment. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions.

Equipment and Machines : Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work-related tools as required.

Attendance: Normal hours are Monday – Thursday between 7:00am to 5:00pm during flex weeks, 7:00am to 4:00pm on non-flex Friday. Must be able to work within the shift hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Other schedules may be assigned based on business needs. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements. With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.

Other Essential Functions: Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management, and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel (up to 20%) to and from customer locations and test locations (government and vendor) may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.

Travel requirements : May be required to travel 6 times per year for periods up to 5 days per trip to non-local (off-site) locations. Will be required travel in a timely manner to and from local (on-site) facilities during the normal day to day operations in order to attend meetings, training, etc. that are beyond reasonable
