As a Project Management Specialist, you'll support NASA's Space Launch Systems Facilities and Asset Management (F&AM) at their Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA.
Monitor day to day contractor field activities against the approved plans and specifications.
Escort contractors on Boeing property as necessary.
Coordinate with the Boeing Project Manager and Facilities Engineering for resolution of Requests For Information (RFI’s).
Schedule management and integration for Individual Projects.
Consolidate independently generated project data and interfaces with functional specialist on cross-functional teams, to ensure stakeholder understanding of trade-offs amongst cost, schedule, quality and risk.
Recommends appropriate actions to stakeholders to satisfy project goals and objectives.
Acts as consultant to site management in the design, development and implementation of project management processes and systems.
Defines scope with the project team, applying appropriate standards, guidelines, regulations and procedures to ensure all of the work and only the work required to complete the project is included in the baseline.
Monitors milestones and task activities to ensure timely completion of project.
Performs variance analysis and makes recommendations for change, to ensure schedule commitments are met.
Prepares management briefings to communicate project(s) status, identify issues and solicit help for resolution.
Identifies potential risks by using established project management tools.
Develops risk response plan and makes recommendations to project stakeholders to minimize project risk.
Assist F&AM team as required.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Facilities and Asset management experience.
Project Management experience and experience with optimization of Factory Layouts and Systems.
Ability to get approval to access NASA facilities at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, AL, the Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) in New Orleans, LA, Stennis Space Center (SSC) in Mississippi, and Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Titusville, FL
Completion for all job or site specific training/certifications that are required to obtain site access or have been deemed a requirement for completion of specific tasks (e.g., operation of cranes, forklifts, etc.).
Ideally, you'll have:
4 year degree
