Duties/Responsibilities:

· Management of Client expectations and communication with client and team members.

· Managing a team of inspectors.

· Coordination between contractors, on-site NYCDEP staff and other stakeholders

· Participation in all safety aspects of the construction project.

· Project reporting including use of e-Builder

· Implementation of schedule, cost, quality, communication, and decision-making information tools and processes across the project

· Demonstrate effective risk management and mitigation practices through proper risk identification, assessment, tracking and communication.

· Change Order Support – Understand critical change orders, assist with development of change orders scoping/pricing/negotiations

· Payment Process – Actively manage and report on the status of the construction schedule and budget. Monitor the contract progress and make recommendation to client for contractor payments.

· Attend technical meetings and CPM update meetings as required. Prepare input for the monthly Issues and Tasks report as required and draft responses to correspondence for the Resident Engineer’s signature.

· Manage RFI/Submittals/Document Management/Dissemination of information

· CM Monthly Report Development

· Extension of Time requests

· Development/review/acceptance of meeting agendas and minutes

· Maintain documentation for Contract Closeout including requirements for Controlled Inspections, Occupation or Use Prior to Completion, Substantial Completion, Spare Parts turnover log and CM Equipment Tracking Logs.

Here’s what you’ll need :

· BS Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related field; or equivalent experience is required

· Minimum of 15 years planning/scheduling and cost engineering experience in a construction and engineering environment is required

· Advanced experience with project management software such as Primavera Project Manager (P6), Primavera and e-Builder

· 15 years of progressively challenging experience on major construction projects performing Construction Management.

· Must be proficient in the use of computer to prepare reports using Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.

· Excellent working knowledge of construction scheduling.

· Must have highly effective written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent team leader/player with exceptional interpersonal skills.

· Must have prior experience on NYC DEP projects and strong understanding of associated SOPs

· Prior involvement in start-up of large wastewater treatment facilities, and understanding of associated instrumentation and controls

Ideally, You will also have:

  • NYC DEP Construction Management experience

Typical salary range for this position is $118,000 to $154,950 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
