Jacobs Assistant Superintendent/Inspector (Saranac Lake, NY) in New York, New York

We’re looking for an Assistant Superintendent/Inspector who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. This opportunity will be supporting projects in the Saranac Lake, NY area. You’ll be accountable for working with subcontractors to ensure quality compliance on building projects. You’ll also provide on-site assistance monitoring and visually inspecting material at receipt and before installation. Bring your talent for multi-tasking, collaboration, and organizational skills. 3 + years of applicable experience or comparable training in inspecting large scale building construction projects

OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Familiarity with Uniform Building Code requirements for nonresidential occupancies

Must be able to work autonomously, follow defined procedures, and interpret contract documents

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation / Willing and able to drive to client sites

Ability to respond to off hour calls based on needs of client

Ideally, you’ll also have:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering

Selected candidate will be hired by Jacobs or one of the subconsultant team partners.
