At Jacobs, quality control is crucial to the success of our projects and the strong relationships we have with our clients. As an experienced Construction Inspector on night shift, you’ll work with senior QA/QC team members to create and assist in in creating QC programs, standards and specifications, while developing records and reports of inspections and assessments. You’ll challenge yourself by reviewing and resolving technical problems, ensuring compliance on inspections and helping field staff to ensure all quality inspections are complete. You’ll have the support, means and space to deliver your best work, today and into tomorrow.
Based in Manhattan, NY, you’ll have the chance to monitor and inspect materials and to make recommendations to changes in procedures to senior staff. You’ll help monitor quality and ensure compliance to regulatory and industry-specific standards while using your unique background and diverse perspective to help shape the success of project quality plans. Here’s What You’ll Need:
• Minimum 10 years of experience working in the QA/QC field
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent certified technical training
• Effective oral and written communication
• Ability to read and understand structural engineering drawings
• Ability to pass a federal background clearance screening
• OSHA 10 certification
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Experience with local and state government contracting terms and procedures desired
• Prior experience with an engineering firm is desired
• Experience with Construction /Program Management services contracts a plus
• OSHA 30 certification
