Jacobs New York office is seeking an Mechanical Supervising Engineer who has a strong technical background coupled with business acumen, solid leadership and organizational skills. The key to success in this role with be someone who excels at the technical and enjoys not only mentorship but supervising the technical side. This position will work mostly with local project.
Overall responsibility for the technical and management leadership of the Mechanical Engineering design team
Responsibility for project execution of mechanical systems design.
Manage and supervise work of mechanical design engineers
Lead meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them
Manage quality of work, and interface with clients
Technical and Business Development responsibility for the Mechanical Engineering Discipline. Proposal Writing, MEP business development and Project Management
Mentoring and training team members in HVAC, plumbing and Fire Protection engineering
Code Compliance MEP Design experience for different types of facilities
Quality Control for MEP engineering
Report to Manager of Engineering
Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
Minimum of 13 years of experience working in a corporate mechanical engineering environment is required
Mechanical Team leadership and supervision experience is preferred
Mentoring and training in HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering experience is preferred
PE is required
New York State PE is preferred
