About the opportunities:
We have exciting opportunities to join the Nuclear Power EC&I team that is based in Newcastle upon Tyne helping our clients to deliver the UKs Net Zero targets. We focus on providing support to the existing nuclear generation fleet, nuclear new build and future reactor designs, but we also support EC&I activities across the whole Jacobs business.
We are looking for Senior / Principal Control System Engineers. This role is for those with significant demonstrable experience in solving complex problems and delivering engineering solutions to the civil nuclear or other highly regulated industries.

Be part of the nuclear energy strategy in the UK to help achieve the net zero carbon goals.
Be a part of a global company driving innovation in multiple sectors.
Lead projects across the project lifecycle from bid generation to delivery for multiple clients in the Nuclear sector and beyond.
Work on systems integration, test and validation of control, PLC, SCADA and simulator systems.
Working with over 60 EC&I Engineers in our department alone (350+ in the Business Unit) so there is significant help and advice available to support knowledge transfer and career development, and for you to support the training and development of others.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional body. Or be close to achieving this, we will support you.
Proven experience of leading technical teams in the successful delivery of EC&I engineering activities.
Knowledge and experience of working in line with relevant guidelines, standards and practices.
Significant knowledge and experience of delivering high integrity hardware or software based control systems for industrial equipment.
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance
