We’ve delivered O&M services for clients in government and industry for 40 years.

Our People & Places Solutions team has an immediate need for a Commissioning Digital Support Engineer to deliver a range of commissioning-based activities across the Client’s projects and program, to undertake a proactive position in developing and delivering commissioning and handover documentation and field-based activities to achieve the Client’s objectives, enhance client relationships and encourage growth work .

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver digital tools and support commissioning to achieve agreed results.

  • Actively participate in commissioning activities at the direction of the commissioning lead for successful program delivery and achieve the required operational excellence outcomes.

General Responsibilities:

  • Assist the commissioning team with digitizing the standardised ITP and ITR forms onto the Jacobs digital platform (OMNI)

  • Update and manage the project specific commissioning asset registers to support digital forms development

  • Update and manage the OMNI lookup lists on SharePoint to support the project teams

  • Prepare project specific commissioning ITPs and ITRs for individual projects in digital format on OMNI

  • Manage and update/renew the MPM suite of commissioning documents including MAXIMO and close-out process

  • Assist in the development of a MPM dashboard to track project progress

  • Manage the ongoing development of the ECHO Dashboard and links to SharePoint / Power BI reporting for KPI and commissioning progress reporting

  • Manage the CW/SW interface via the ECHO Dashboard and provide technical support as required

  • Assist commissioning and MPM engineers with updating MAXIMO asset information to ensure the verification process can be completed in a timely manner

  • Assist the OMNI support person with the development of HSEQ / Management digital forms as required and provide cover for annual leave

  • Carry out commissioning activities in the field under the direction of the Commissioning Lead.

  • Lead on Commissioning Team Safety both personnel and equipment.

  • Interact with Quality team to ensure document compliance with Project Quality program.

  • Prepare documentation related to commissioning and handover activities.

  • Assist Commissioning Lead with Risk register activities, ensuring that defects are captured and recorded.

  • Assist the Commissioning Lead with scheduling of commissioning activities.

  • Prepare Commissioning and Handover Plans for specific projects.

  • Work in an integrated team with the Client.

The Commissioning Digital Support Engineer is required to work flexible hours to meet demands and be able to travel to metropolitan depots where necessary.

Key Experiences & Skills:

Relevant tertiary qualification in a relevant field or a related discipline.

Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.

Demonstrated written communication and IT skills.

Demonstrated time and resources management skills.

Demonstrated planning ahead and sequencing jobs appropriately

An ability to anticipate and tackle problems.

An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
