Your Impact:

At Jacobs, our Power Solutions team is geared towards providing an integrated approach offering end-to-end service to support our clients in energy networks, thermal generation, renewable generation and storage solutions space. We are helping our clients meet the issues faced in countries and cities across the globe, providing creative solutions.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

This exciting opportunity will include wide ranging technical, engineering, mathematical and project work to support power systems study projects . You’ll be part of an inclusive national team which provide power systems planning, modelling, analysis, and advice to help our clients in generation, transmission, distribution, and the industrial High Voltage sector. We encourage applications from candidates who have:

  • A tertiary degree in a related electrical engineering field (Post-graduate degrees desirable).

  • Power system modelling skills with well-developed quantitative and research ability.

  • Experience with power system steady-state (load-flow and short circuit) and dynamic studies.

  • Familiarity with relevant software packages, specifically DIgSILENT PowerFactory. The other software packages include ETAP, SKM PTW, PSS®E, and PSCAD. Python scripting and task automation capability is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated capability to develop technical documentations.

  • Engineering consultancy experience (desirable, but not essential).
