Jacobs has an opportunity for an experienced Principal Systems Engineer to join the ANZ team, to be situated in any of our Australia offices. In this role, you will support the Jacobs ANZ rail team in the delivery of technical solutions across its rail clients. Transport modes include passenger rail, light rail and freight/heavy haul.

You will support the team through delivery of projects across the various phases of the lifecycle and assist our client in achieving construction objectives though the post design phases of projects. You will ensure delivery complies with Systems Engineering principles and regional best practice. As a Principal, you will provide technical leadership,clear technical direction and provide a strong role model regarding client focus and responsiveness. As a Principal you will also provide role modelling of Jacobs’ core values, fostering an inclusive and diverse cultural ethos that embodies Jacobs’ Culture of Caring.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline

• Demonstrable Systems Engineering expertise and leadership across the engineering lifecycle

• Ability to lead SE projects, including client interface, management of team activities, budget allocation and time management

• Effective communication skills including technical writing and verbal communication

• We are happy to consider applicants with Systems Engineering expertise from other industries outside of Rail.
