The purpose of this role is to provide broad Civil Engineering skills and capacity to the Eastern Transport Performance Unit, in particular roads & highways. The role includes project engineering and coordination roles, civil engineering design & calculation report preparation, interfacing with clients, provision of project management and design management on small to medium scale projects and support of these functions on major projects.
The Senior Civil Engineer provides support for proposals & tenders, including preparation of scope and pricing, and coordination of subcontractor scope. The role may also entail direct responsibility for the preparation of proposals for small projects with support from senior team members. The Senior Civil Engineer will fulfil the Civil Lead role on small to medium scale projects and support Civil Leads, Project Managers and Design Managers on major projects, and coordinate design production tasks with the Road Design Team, drafters and Global Integrated Delivery.
