About the opportunity
Our Buildings & Infrastructure line of business has access to 10,000 professionals across the globe. Our team of engineers, designers and planners work to deliver projects in Transport Planning, Roads, Rail, Bridges, Project Management, Security Services, Building Structures & Services and Asset Management Planning.
With a solid pipeline of work in New South Wales, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Urban Designer to join our team in Sydney. This is a hands-on role, that will require you to work across various multidisciplinary projects requiring exceptional collaboration abilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a young professional to be closely mentored by a team of highly experienced Designers.
To be successful you will be required to demonstrate the following:
A Degree in Architecture
Advanced ability to work hands-on with design software such as Autocad, Sketchup, Illustrator, Photoshop
6-12 years of experience, working within the NSW Planning system
Experience working with SEPP 65 and the NSW Apartment Design Guide
Advanced design and presentation skills
Experience working on urban development projects
Ability to work under tight project timeframes
Good project management and co-ordination skills, and ability to work unsupervised to meet project milestones
Mentoring of junior staff
A keen focus on design excellence and innovation
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to input to bids and proposals
A true team player and collaborator
Optimistic and enthusiastic outlook
