An opportunity has become available for an experienced Surveyor to joinour talented Sydney Spatial team to assist with the current workload andsupport the growth of our spatial practice. They will assist in the delivery ofsurvey and ground information to support major infrastructure projects.
Our Survey team has an established reputation for delivering successfulprojects across Australia and as a result, we have a strong pipeline of works. Wespecialise in spatial data/engineering surveys, GIS analysis and presentation,aerial photography, photogrammetric data and production of ortho-rectifiedimagery.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Undertaking field survey using the latest surveying technologies and equipment ranging from Robotic Reflectorless Total Stations, GPS systems, Digital levels, to 3D Terrestrial and Mobile Laser Scanners;
Processing captured survey data, using various Survey and CAD software packages in a modern computing environment, particularly in thecontrol andvectorisation of 3D point clouds;
Understanding, developing and using appropriate survey technology and practices to meet the needs of clients and the business;
Cadastral survey and production of boundary overlays to support design and planning for land acquisition/disposal;
Elevating the team’s strengths/capabilities by delivering quality spatial data management, GIS and CAD work and working collaboratively with other areas to deliver the project;
Driving the adoption of digital engineering techniques using survey data as a foundation data set;
Assisting with the technical scope, assessing delivery throughout project life cycle, reviewing outputs, undertaking reporting and delivering quality documentation;
Delivering professional services on a commercial basis, reflecting quality, timeliness, value, competitive pricing and aiming client satisfaction;
This role will be suited to a self-starter who has a keen interested inthe collection and processing of survey data to meet client requirements. Otherkey requirements/criteria of the role include:
A Tertiary qualification in surveying from a University or TAFE College
Experience with digital engineering processes and a good understanding of how data can be collected efficiently once to move through the project lifecycle
Good technical knowledge in survey data collection including total station, laser scanning, survey control networks and efficient management, mapping and modelling of data is also required
Experience in the delivery of a wide range of surveying services, and the collection, presentation and management of spatial information
Ability to provide technical survey knowledge, undertake survey projects with minimum supervision, produce final deliverables in both a survey package and CAD format
Good time management, strives on team contribution and has a strong awareness to safety
Sound knowledge of survey software, CAD applications and modern survey equipment;
Experience with, 12D, AutoCAD, Leica Cyclone, Topodot, Leica Geoffice, Compnet, Leica TPS GNSS & HDS scanners would be desirable
An interest and ability in training and mentoring less experienced surveyors
Registration, or progressing to registration, with BOSSI would be an advantage.
This rolemay require some travel throughout NSW and the wider Australasian region.
