Your Impact:
As a SmartPlant Electrical S3D Super-User in the Jacobs CMS - Nuclear Projects and Consulting business unit you will work with SmartPlant BIM Administration to perform the following activities:
Assist BIM admin on Installation and Set-up
Provide training to new and inexperienced users
Develop S3D Work Instruction Procedure for designer use form conformance with specific project requirements
Configure S3D View Styles to produce output documents to meet project Standards in SmartSketch
Provide Oversight of design team during production
Create and manage the reference data for all electrical components including but not limited to Electrical Units, Panels, Cable Tray, and Conduit
Work with Electrical and I&C Engineering to produce lists and schedule formats and process data as needed
Here’s What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma/GED
5+ years using BIM tools
A general understanding of Building Electrical Systems
Excellent Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the Basic Qualifications the ideal candidate might also have:
5 or more years of experience preferred.
Trade School or Associates Degree is preferred
Have a basic understanding of Database Administration
Strong communication skills
Exhibit integrity and the highest quality in all activities
Self-motivated, team-focused professional
Self-starter with the ability to learn new design software
Attention to detail
Essential Functions
Work Environment
Office environment. (95%)
Some Telework will be an option for this role on a case-by-case basis, but the primary work will need to be performed from secure office environment.
May be exposed to areas of high noise levels, hazardous propellants, explosives, chemicals, and industrial facilities.
Physical Requirements:
Appropriate PPE and training will be provided for all conditions.
Must be able to move and sit for extended periods (100%) as well as and lift up to 35 lbs (25%). Vision correctable to 20/20. Candidate must have the ability to read and use SmartPlant design software unassisted.
Equipment and Machines:
Standard office equipment – PC and/or Laptop, telephone, fax, copier, job related software (SmartPlant design) and other related equipment (90%)
Attendance:
Regular attendance mandatory (100%) unless authorized by Hiring Manager
Overtime/work outside normal schedule may be required (as needed)
Travel required (<10%)
OTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
U.S. Citizenship may be required with no dual citizenship. Valid driver's license is required. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be familiar with and comfortable working in a team environment. Appropriate grooming and dress code acceptable for a customer environment is necessary. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required. Must take and pass a pre-employment drug and background check.
