Jacobs Technology Inc is currently seeking a Structural Designer with experience in developing 3D models for steel, concrete, and masonry for the Jacobs Critical Mission Solutions, Nuclear Projects and Consulting Line of Business programs and projects in Oak Ridge, TN.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
• 5+ years’ experience
• Designer experience in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
• Detailing experience for steel and concrete.
• Ability to autonomously develop 3D Models.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD suite of tools in including REVIT.
• 1 year experience working in detailing shop or in field at project site.
• Experience working on industrial projects.
• Experience working with heavy industrial and nuclear projects.
• Q Clearance
• Experience with Tekla Structures
• Experience with Microstation
• Experience with Smart Plant 3D
Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary. Some walking and standing may occur in the course of a normal workday in connection with travel to and from meeting and conferences. May transport light items, such as reports, data products, notebooks and laptops.
May be in a restricted work area.
Criticality of Attendance:
Must be able to work within the normal daytime shift in the office in Oak Ridge. With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.
Equipment and Machines:
Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies. Personal computer and required CAD software
Other Essential Functions:
Must be able to secure and maintain a security clearance.
Must pass drug testing.
Must be able to read and write effectively in English.

Travel requirements - may require some occasional travel.
