Jacobs’ Advanced Engineering, Research & Operations (AERO) Team provides a wide range of services to government and industry in engineering, operations and maintenance, scientific, and technical services. We provide specialty high-end advanced technology solutions delivery for commercial and NASA space programs and Satellites, Cybersecurity & Intelligence systems, and the Automotive industry. We also provide premier engineering and technical support services to advanced systems, programs and facilities, including nuclear project and consulting, for our federal government clients include the EPA, USAF, USACE, and DOE. We are hiring and searching for a Senior level procurement specialist to support our Subcontracting and Supply Management Team’s project transitions on an intermittent (FLEX hire) basis. Exercises independent judgment and discretion about matters of compliance significance. Represents the organization as a consultant to management. Observes all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Works in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Must have at least 15 years of experience in Federal Procurement
Extensive experience with DOE subcontracts
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
Must possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts and the ability to organize, schedule and coordinate multiple work phases
Must be able to provide effective solutions to complex problems
Must have strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and in a team, and be capable of representing the organization as the primary point of contact
U.S. Citizenship is required; no dual-citizenship
- Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary. Some walking and standing may occur in the course of a normal workday in connection with travel to and from meeting and conferences. May carry light items, such as reports, data products, notebooks and laptops.
May be in a restricted work area.
Criticality of Attendance:
Must be able to work within the normal daytime shift
With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.
Equipment and Machines:
- Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies.
Other Essential Functions:
Must be able to secure and maintain a security clearance.
Must pass drug testing.
Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
