Jacobs Project Manager in Oakland, California

Monitor the Undergrounding Program from Front End Planning phase through closeout. Develop, monitor, and update the project cash flow and financial forecasts. Use the cost and schedule plan to determine if project objectives are achievable. Create, maintain, and update monthly forecast budgets. Prepare various cost reports and maintain forecast accuracy using Analysis for Office (Excel Plug in). Prepare project performance analysis, cost, and schedule status reports. Identify cost and schedule variances from objectives and recommend corrective action - MS Excel, SAP, Primavera P6. Maintain scope change, contingency release, change order, and journal entry logs. Review all invoices and close out Purchase Orders accordingly in Ariba system. Review and assist in the preparation of Advance Authorizations, Job Estimates and Re-Authorizations. Prepare journal entries and coordinate or process goods receipts - SAP. Responsible for managing the entire build out process including reviewing RFIs, submittals, change orders, payment applications, tracking KPIs and presenting the project status summary dashboards to the leadership.

Telecommuting is allowed.

Travel Requirements: 35% domestic travel to job sites.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 1 years of work experience in job offered or related occupation. In Lieu of the requirements listed above, employer will accept: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 3 years of work experience in job offered or related occupation.

SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: Perform quantity takeoff and cost estimation of project. Engineering technology applications, which may include Prolog, BIM 360, AutoCAD, P6. Construction Document software like Unifier, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, SAP etc. Interpret construction drawings and schematics. Project Management process including RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, etc. Advanced MS Office tool skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Sharepoint. Review bids and negotiate contract with the vendors. Pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building. Technical writing skills.
