Jacobs has an exciting opportunity for an ITS Production Liaison in our Ocoee, FL office. The candidate will assist in driving next-generation development of Intelligent Transportation Systems projects by developing, scheduling, budgeting and managing internal and external projects in order to directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization and enhance stakeholder’s situational awareness. This candidate will be directly responsible for ensuring concepts, plans and construction packages meet current and future needs of the ITS Program, by maintaining close coordination and communication with the Turnpike Headquarters Production and Concepts Groups and attending regular project meetings.
The candidate must have project or program development experience, and preferably experience leading transportation-related and/or system deployment projects. In addition, the candidate must have strong project management skills, a strong technical or engineering background, a positive work history of collaborating with other disciplines, and will have adhered to a regulated quality management system.
Responsible for the successful concept implementation, planning and development of ITS projects to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders
Obtain stakeholder input and concisely outline concepts that meet stakeholder requirements
Participates in development of best practices
Responsible for ensuring projects and applications meet the necessary technology, data, security, and stakeholder compliance requirements
Understand business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Consults with project teams and end users to identify requirements
Ensures adherence to development policies and procedures
Designs, develops, schedules, and oversees multiple projects simultaneously
Provides Application and Project Development experience to Management
Integrates project development activities with other business functions
Facilitates decisions on scope of work, duration of tasks, and determination of design requirements
Participates in critical project reviews
Provides input into annual budget planning and resource planning
Coordinates, develops and maintains lifecycle and failure-based analysis for replacement of assets
Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management
Provide scheduled and unscheduled update in the forms of graphs/reports/presentations
Provides functional leadership for the project team
Responsible for new project development, plans, and goals
Develop and implement projects to meet and exceed the client’s goals and objectives
Ensures compliance to quality standards and conveys an expectation of high project quality and robustness
Assist in the development of Quality Management procedures
Additional responsibilities upon request from management in order to suit the dynamic needs of our client and our program.
Requires a BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project development and scheduling is required
MBA, PMP, PRINCE2, CPMP, or PMITS a plus
Experience with project development required
Excellent interpersonal communication skills - verbal, written, and listening are required
Demonstrated understanding and usage of Microsoft Project is required
Knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems preferred
Excellent project management and time-management skills required
Experience with a wide array of Programming Languages is preferred
Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases required
Experience with government procurement practices is required
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required
Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing client needs required
Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks, deliver timely and accurate work products with a customer service focus, and respond with a sense of urgency as required
Must hold a valid FL Drivers License
Must be able to lift small packages
Must be able to walk on uneven terrain and access areas on slopes
