Your Impact:

Candidate will be responsible for driving growth and providing subject matter expertise for a product line and technical programs related to a Jacobs’ designed Iridium satellite transceiver for government and commercial end-customers. Technical area of focus includes but is not limited to communication solutions covering urban, rural, maritime, airborne and space domains. Candidate will apply engineering based technical knowledge to support planning and execution of technical projects involving multiple development groups, subcontractors, vendors and customers. Candidate will also apply knowledge of customers and market in order to plan and execute growth strategies for existing and new product lines plus capture of customer development funding.


Here’s What You’ll Need:

Required :

  • U.S. Citizenship.

  • Must be willing and able to obtain a TS security clearance.

  • 5-10 years of relevant engineering experience.

  • 5-10 years of technical program management and/or business development in two or more of the following areas: satellite communication hardware products, satellite terminal development, custom satellite terminal integration, satellite airtime/network services.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with cross-functional teams for technical projects ranging from multiple weeks to multiple years.

  • Ability to perform market/requirement research in order to develop and execute a growth strategy.

  • Identifiable business development experience including market knowledge and past capture successes.

  • Willingness to travel to multiple Jacobs, vendor and customer sites (CONUS and OCONUS) in support of marketing, reporting and project execution activities.

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Demonstrable skills in Microsoft Office software products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Preferred :

  • Active TS clearance

  • Experience with satellite network system design, protocols, component design, airtime management and regulatory related design/testing.

  • Experience with IP based video and audio solutions and related data compression technology.

  • Experience with GPS satellite system and receivers.

  • Experience with cellular system design, protocols, component design, airtime management and regulatory related design/testing.

  • Experience in power systems including low power DC power solutions, battery solutions (rechargeable and non-rechargeable), AC power conversion and energy harvesting.

  • Experience in RF systems design including low noise amplifiers, high power transmitters, antenna design and regulatory testing.

  • Experience with state of the art communication network design including mesh networks, mobile adhoc networks, internet of things, etc.

  • Experience in developing body-worn or personnel carry electronics solutions.

  • Experience in developing manned and unattended space, airborne, maritime (surface or sub-surface), ground electronic solutions.

  • Experience in micro-controller based designs.

  • Experience with Allegro, OrCAD, PADs and/or Altium Designer.

  • Experience with business tools including but not limited to MS Project and Salesforce.
