Water Resources Engineer

Description

 We’re seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our team in our Omaha office. Someone who can use their vast experience in the water industry and apply it to today’s challenges.

As a valued Jacobs employee, you will work with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve successful design of water treatment facilities and help lead clients to the correct treatment approach by utilizing desktop calculations, bench analysis, pilot plant operation, and full-scale operational troubleshooting.

You'll have the opportunity to work on stormwater conveyance, flood plain and stream restoration evaluations including alternatives evaluations, optimization, modeling, cost analysis, preliminary/detailed design, permitting, and construction engineering services. You'll assist with design and planning for stormwater conveyance projects including pump design, hydraulics and modeling.

We’ll rely on you to support business development efforts and help in the pursuit of new projects, as well as work directly with clients on the projects and tasks that you are leading, developing long-term client relationships. Qualifications

*Here's What You'll Need: *

 Bachelor’s Degree in civil, chemical, environmental or mechanical engineering.

Professional experience in relevant water treatment and process engineering

Demonstrated understanding of water resource engineering, planning, and treatment processes and technologies.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Self-motivated, initiator; demonstrated through professional society involvements or related activities

  • Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure
