Intermediate Water /Wastewater Project Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Water /Wastewater Project Manager to support our Ottawa, ON office and serve primarily municipal water /wastewater related client services. Position will also serve to assist with delivering projects, serving and developing clients in the water and wastewater industry, and growing the business through assisting with business development and mentoring our junior staff.
Responsibilities will include:
Direct communication with client PMs and technical teams on technical design topics, project schedule, project scope, and budget.
Leading project teams and communicating between diverse design disciplines; developing, and coordinating effective quality management processes for each project.
Establishing long-term client relationships and supporting business development activities.
Assist or lead the investigation and review of treatment processes technologies, equipment, and decision analysis.
Perform sophisticated and complicated designs and calculations in accordance with established department standards and software.
Support procurement including supplier qualifications, bid reviews, process design requirements, review of design drawings and supplier documents, successful resolution of manufacturing discrepancies, support for installation, generation of as-built drawings, and onsite support.
Participate in development of engineering studies and cost estimates.
Participate in construction support activities including responses to requests for information (RFIs), submittal reviews, construction site visits, and design revisions/ management of change, startup and commissioning and trouble-shooting.
Prepare detailed design milestones and schedules, staffing schedules and man-hour estimates, and budget management.
Prepare and /or supervise engineering reports, studies, calculations and checks drawings.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations.
Participate in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
P. Eng designation
10-15 years of directly applicable experience in working with municipal clients in engineering or project management roles
Excellent written and verbal communication of project plans and presentations
Proven experience with design of municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities
Proven experience assisting project managers and project teams on large consulting projects
Proven experience in managing projects and teams on smaller consulting projects
Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams
