As a Long-Term Access Planner, you’ll plan a variety of access and construction planning work during the planning and delivery phases of the project. You will also contribute access and construction planning and being able to understand what is required to integrate and deliver projects through construction and commissioning in an operational railway. The Long-Term Access Planner is responsible for providing the necessary access, construction and operational planning expertise required for planning the integration of all work, providing relevant access and construction planning expertise to the project team and contractors as required, and coordination across the various teams for the Head of Program Integration. You’ll have the support, means and space to deliver your best work, today and into tomorrow.
Based in Toronto, you’ll have the chance to contribute on development and management of the Access Plan from T-52 to T-13 weeks as well as providing other access planning tools necessary for the efficient timely implementation of all work necessary to meet delivery, you will also review project deliverables including construction strategies, execution plans, etc., as required, as well as understanding the status of deliverables provided by PPP and other contractors, handover at T-13 weeks an agreed integrated deliverable access plan for all work to delivery; that all contractors have agreed to work to, that is fully resourced, and the necessary access is agreed and available for. Here's What You'll Need:
BS or MS graduate of an engineering discipline or similar applicable technical discipline or equivalent experience.
At least 10 years of relevant access planning and delivery experience for work on an operational railway.
Direct experience in construction planning and/or working with contractor’s planners and supervisors delivering work on an operational railway.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Engineering and/or project management designations will be valuable
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
