Based in a client office in Toronto, you’ll provide leadership of the Jacobs team working as part of a larger Integrated Team within our clients $60B Transit/Rail Programs. The Jacobs team is over 200 people and is continuing to grow. Additionally, Jacobs work with partners in a joint venture and other consultants who provide sub-consultancy services. You’ll report to the client’s Chief Capital Officer and ultimately assume overall responsibility for delivery for the Jacobs workload. Direct reports include those who are accountable, as senior leaders, for program functions and work package groups engaged in the procurement and implementation of this mega scheme. Additionally, you may provide marketing and outreach in the transportation market sector to secondary clients and other stakeholders. Primarily, this will focus initially on assisting in the pursuit of Delivery Partner contracts for the various client programs to expand the range of services that Jacobs will deliver for our clients.

You’ll be challenged as a leader as you work with the client to deliver a business improvement program to grow the client capacity from $4B of investment each year to $8B by 2022. As a team leader and program manager on critical programs, you’ll make a huge impact on our business and the community you live in. The role will span the full project life cycle, starting with the opportunity identification and the consultant proposal effort, and continuing throughout the project from planning, scope and technical package development, contract procurement, construction implementation, commissioning, and operations and maintenance. Qualifications

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • Professional experience working as a senior manager of major rail transportation infrastructure programs and projects (brownfield, international, and new urban railway construction experience is highly desirable)

  • Ability to demonstrate extensive public participation, agency coordination planning and programming experience.

  • Ability to work with corporate leaders to develop strategies for key hiring, key project pursuits, team growth, office growth/profitability, employee development and employee satisfaction.

Ideally; You’ll Also Have:

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario, Canada

  • Experience in program structuring and contract packaging for major programs across a variety of project delivery methods, including Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, DBFOM and Public Private Partnerships/AFP delivery (PPP or PFI)
