ITS Engineer/Specialist, you’ll have the chance to be responsible for plans production, project coordination, technical discipline expertise, production staff management and mentoring, and quality control coordination for a variety of projects. Working with other members of the team, you’ll design and prepare construction plans for the traffic, lighting and signalization components of roadway projects. During your time with us, you will support for rail/transit projects, PD&E studies, planning studies, as well as, review/prepare lighting and signal warrant studies, traffic impact studies, traffic operations analysis reports and safety studies. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university

  • Zero to two years of experience with transportation engineering projects with recognized expertise for traffic, signalization and/or lighting topics

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with FDOT plans preparation experience

  • Experience with FDOT design criteria, standards and specifications and the development of Technical Specifications.

  • Experience with FDOT design criteria, standards and specifications and the development of Technical Specifications.
