We’re looking for a Mid-Level SCADA Engineer located in Florida to execute exciting and challenging projects throughout the region. As a mid-level SCADA engineer, you will be involved in all parts of the projects solving complex problems, taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions, identifying applications of functional knowledge, and applying existing methodologies to complex problems. You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as working directly with our clients. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living leading functional teams or projects and serving as a best practice, quality resource.

The work includes planning, design, implementation, programming, configuration, startup, and testing of Industrial Control Systems (ICS), related components, and process applications supporting water, transportation, and industrial clients around the Southeast.

The successful candidate will work alongside project teams and under the direction of local senior engineers to perform the following tasks:

• Utilize Human Machine Interface (HMI), Historian, PLC control systems, and SCADA system software to effectively design and implement instrumentation and control systems for large water/wastewater and industrial programs and projects.

• Provide engineering support for water, wastewater, municipal, and industrial clients for our regional offices and occasionally at client sites.

• Design and troubleshoot ICS related components including HMIs, Historians, Operational Technology (OT) industrial network components, PLCs, servers/workstations, control panels, field instruments, and radios.

• Support, setup, analyze, and maintain ICS applications including HMI graphics, Historian servers, event logging, domain controllers, network behavior anomaly detection systems, OT networks, hyperconverged and traditional servers, and anti-virus software.

• Prepare specifications and drawings, write control system descriptions, perform startup and commissioning activities.

• Conduct site visits and testing and make recommendations for control systems improvements and designs.

• Work with other engineering disciplines on large, complex design projects to incorporate equipment, process, and facility control concepts.

• Collaborate on proposals and contribute to client relationships and business development efforts.

• Select and troubleshoot field process instruments.

• Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment with multiple deadlines.

• Drive ownership of health & safety in all aspects of project execution.

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field.

• Five years of experience with HMI programming, Historian configuration, PLC control systems, SCADA systems, and industrial networks.

• Experience with industrial HMI programming and implementation (e.g., VTSCADA, AVEVA HMI System Platform /Wonderware, Allen Bradley, GE iFix, OpenEnterprise, Ovation).

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Experience with industrial PLC programming and hardware implementation (e.g., Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens, Emerson ControlWave).

• Experience with field commissioning control systems, including troubleshooting and problem-solving live operating systems.

• Experience with reviewing and creating designs for control systems, panel layouts, network architectures, and instrument location plans (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation).

• Experience with IT or OT networking and virtual machine (VM) implementation.
