We’re looking for a Senior-Level SCADA Project Manager located in Florida to execute exciting and challenging projects throughout the region. As a Senior Project Manager (SCADA), you will be involved in all parts of the projects solving complex problems, taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions, identifying applications of functional knowledge, and applying existing methodologies to complex problems. You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with our clients. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living leading functional teams or projects and serving as a best practice, quality resource.

Each day you will be an important part of the team as you complete a variety of design and project management responsibilities for the design and operation of SCADA systems for water and wastewater clients. You will work with minimal supervision, both independently and in a team environment, and multi-task effectively.

The successful candidate will work as part of project teams to perform the following tasks:

  • Manage medium to large complex SCADA projects with multi-discipline teams executed from multiple office locations for large state and local government, municipal, and industrial projects

  • Manage several projects of various sizes and durations at the same time

  • Lead and manage the project team through all phases of project estimating, planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with established project delivery processes to the meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract

  • Complete the scope of work to the satisfaction of the client, while simultaneously ensuring Jacobs staff safety, product quality, project financial, risk management, business, and policy expectations are met

  • Lead business development activities resulting in the award of a contract. This could include client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, proposal preparation, oral presentation, and contract negotiation consistent with established business development processes.

  • Be responsible for development and execution of SCADA Master Plans

  • Possess general knowledge of control system code (PLC and HMI) and preparing specifications and drawings

  • Lead project teams during start up and commissioning activities

  • Provide general supervision and mentoring to junior staff for development of design drawings and specifications

  • Work as part of a team and independently to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures

  • Conduct site evaluations and make recommendations for control systems improvements and designs

  • Work with other engineering disciplines on large, complex design projects to incorporate equipment, process, and facility control concepts

  • Travel as needed for projects to support control system commissioning and startups

  • Collaborate on proposals and contribute to client relationships and business development efforts

  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment with multiple deadlines

  • Drive ownership of health & safety in all aspects of project execution

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Ten years of project management experience including managing SCADA programming, information solutions, and design projects

  • Ten years of general experience in PLC /HMI control systems, development of control system architecture, development of SCADA Master Plans, Radio Telemetry systems, SCADA Network design, development of P&ID’s, lead design engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline

  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of instrumentation and process computer control systems

  • Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint

  • Team player, ability to work independently

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent presentation skills to large audiences

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Possess knowledge of municipal water/wastewater treatment processes and control systems, and information solution products

  • Experience with transportation control systems

  • Experience with SCADA System Integration including panel building, field wiring, testing, and commissioning of systems

  • Experience with SCADA Network design and build

  • Experience with Radio telemetry design and build

  • Professional Engineer registration for Florida

  • PMP Certification.
