This position will provide you with an exciting opportunity to oversee the commercial and financial aspects large-scale transportation infrastructure Design/Build projects. The ideal candidate will manage contract negotiations, budgeting, cost control, and risk management to ensure financial success of the projects. We are looking for a leader with strong background in commercial management preferably in the transportation sector who is an excellent negotiator. Analytical leadership skills will be essential in this role.
You should be a self-motivated professional with a strong commercial management experience.
As a Design/Build Transportation Commercial Manager, you can expect to:
Develop and implement commercial strategy.
Develop incentive plans potentially through alliancing and partnering with the supply chain and stakeholders.
Procure and implement web-based contract management/administration tools.
Oversight of the commercial team including but not limited to project administration, schedule, document control, etc.
Provide input in pricing dispute with Prime Contractor and subconsultants.
Being proactive on claims/risks mitigation, initiate claims and dispute resolution, and provide response to claims notifications.
Interface with AD lead and Operations.
Oversee and provide inputs to the development, baselining, and tracking of the design schedule.
Before Project award assist in bid preparation, contract negotiation, risk analysis, and pricing of design fees.
Be responsible for change management including change notification and change requests.
Be responsible for contract management including preparation and issue of contractual written communications, address project commercial and contractual issues, and liaison with subconsultants (including contractual written communications).
Experience of the commercial leadership of large infrastructure projects and/or programs
Bachelor’s or master’s in a Business Management-related field
Experience using contract management tools, reporting, and financial systems
Preferred Experience:
Master’s degree in related engineering or applicable discipline
Professional engineering license
