Jacobs has an opening for an Instructor in Pensacola, FL. The Instructor will provide classroom instruction, conduct practical exercises in a laboratory environment, conduct student study hall periods and provide tutoring/remedial instruction. The will also be expected to:
- Provide in-depth instruction in any of the following topics:
Computer/network hardware and architecture
Operating systems theory and application in UNIX/Windows OS
Basic through intermediate networking with Transmission Control
Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Operating systems (UNIX and Windows)
Programming concepts to include shell and/or batch scripting
Vulnerability analysis to include device/network penetration testing
Computer network defense to include security concepts
Computer hardware and network forensics
Wireless and mobile device technologies
Incorporate technical knowledge into training delivery
Assess student knowledge, skills and abilities to gauge student proficiency in topic area
Deliver instruction via interactive synchronous and asynchronous learning activities
Review and analyze training materials and recommend changes
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Active TS/SCI w/poly
Two (2) years of experience in Cyberspace Operations (CO). Experience in CO is experience in Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO), and/or Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO).
Two (2) years of experience within the last four (4) years teaching cyberspace operations (CO) in a formal classroom setting in at least one (1) of the following CO related topics: Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO)
Operating System (OS)
Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO)
Instructor certification or designation (e.g. teaching certificate, certified professional instructor, master training specialist, or adjunct faculty certification)
Level II DODI 8570.01M certified.
Two (2) years of experience in curriculum development and design
Working at a computer or desk (Considerations: Sitting, Eyes, Hands)
May involve long periods of sitting
An inside office environment (Considerations: Closed quarters, lighting, and temperature fluctuations)
Needs to be able to work well with and support co-workers and clients
Needs to have clear, concise and accurate communication skills
Equipment and Machines:
- Standard office equipment and machines, computer workstation
Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines
Regular attendance is necessary and required
Other Essential Functions:
Must be able to communicate effectively
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with clients, management and employees
Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to the employee or others
