Due to growth in our consulting business we are looking for a Senior Asset Management Consultant with experience in the roads sector to join our team. The role will support one of our key clients through the analysis of road asset condition and performance data, and the preparation of plans to deliver improvements to road networks through preventative maintenance and capital investment. The role will involve working collaboratively with our client in their office, on a full-time secondment basis, as part of a team comprising our staff and our client’s staff.
A key focus for this role will be to develop an understanding of the issues our client is seeking to address, developing practical or innovative solutions to fit their requirements, and delivering quality work reliably. Working as part of our onsite team, the role will directly contribute to our successful track in working with our client, and our strengthening relationship with them. There will also be opportunities to support projects delivered through our office for other clients.
You can expect to be involved in:
Project scoping and methodology development
Analysis of asset condition and performance data, including visualisation and data modelling
Developing forward work programs to improve road user outcomes, including options analysis and costing
Developing asset management plans, maintenance procedures and processes; and
Contributing to the development of the asset management system.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
You should have a strong track record in asset management in the roads sector, and at least ten years’ professional experience, including working directly with clients in a consulting environment. You should have well established knowledge of the issues affecting road asset performance, industry standard maintenance and improvement practices for roads, and the principles of good practice asset management.
Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline, such as civil engineering
Strong understanding of road design standards and maintenance practices
Strong analytical ability – able to work effectively with large data sets
Methodical, motivated, and well organised
Ability to lead and/or work well independently and in teams and under the pressure of deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to influence decisions
Excellent report writing capabilities
Demonstrated ability to manage projects, set priorities and work within required time lines
Strong commercial acumen.
The sucessful candidate will be a self-confident and articulate member of the consulting team within our wider Asset Advisory Team.
