Your Impact:

At Jacobs, our Power Generation and Storage Solutions Team is geared towards providing a more integrated approach offering end-to-end service to support our clients in energy networks, thermal generation, renewable generation and storage solutions space. We are helping our clients meet the challenges faced in countries and cities across the globe, providing innovative solutions from replacing conventional thermal power plants with renewable energy to developing demand side management strategies.  

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Our Energy Generation and Storage Solutions business in Perth is expanding and currently seeking a Renewable Engineer. What’s in it for you? You’ll join a globally connected, multidisciplinary team of industry experts and mentors. Managed by a female leader of our ANZ business who is passionate about the energy transition and diversity and part of Jacobs team for nearly 20 years, you’ll also be supported by a local Team Lead too. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your career and influence our business whilst working on Renewable Energy projects through the full cycle of development from concept, through construction, to operation, collaborating with our Technical Directors and Specialists.

We offer flexibility to work hybrid, remotely or even part time. We’re looking for someone with the following experience, however, if you do not meet all the requirements, please apply, attach a cover letter and tell us why you’re right for this role! A senior role, which will engage with clients, we’re hoping to find considerable work experience in the following areas:

• Experienced Engineer in the renewable energy sector, including Solar, Wind and BESS projects with previous experience in consulting or client-facing roles highly regarded.

• Relevant experience with Australian projects, suppliers, developers and manufacturers is desirable.

• Provide broad technical support specific to wider team around generation, including concept design, feasibility studies, technical specifications, Balance of Plant including primary and secondary equipment, Owners Engineer and project management.

• Motivated and willing to engage with clients, deliver proposals and lead projects.

• Ability to work both as part of a multi-disciplinary team and autonomously.

• Relevant Engineering Degree and post graduate studies highly regarded.
