We are seeking at Senior Associate Instrumentations and Controls Engineer to join the Perth team.

As a Senior Associate Instrumentations and Controls Engineer, you will:

  • Participate in control system engineering projects in developing and reviewing specifications for PLC/SCADA and instrumentation. Delivery of the works would be as per client standards and in accordance with Australian Standards.

  • Apply working knowledge of relevant engineering standards to projects assigned.

  • Contribute to winning work and delivering work for engineering projects led by other Jacobs teams; develop and undertake team led opportunities; and identify and create new roles on ongoing projects.

  • Demonstrate ongoing technical engineering competency and professional development.

  • Contribute and lead quality assurance activities.

  • Contribute to the Operational Sales process in conjunction with normal project delivery and, where applicable, project/client leadership activities, including sales/pursuit meetings, pre-sales activities, client management activities.

  • Participate in development of team Strategic Plans.

  • Support development of junior engineers

  • Work with other engineers, designers and supervisors as required to support engineering project delivery.

  • Provide constructive praise/feedback to team members.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Relevant Tertiary Degree and robust knowledge of Instrumentation and Controls standards and design practices.

  • Industry experience with PLC, DCS, RTU, SCADA systems, communications, including fibre networks, ethernet networks, IP radio, and security.

  • Design skills and specification writing skills are key.

  • Experience with design of control systems involving hardware/software from Siemens, Schneider Electric, Allen-Bradley /Rockwell, would be highly regarded.

  • Experience with major infrastructure clients in water, power, rail and mining; especially in the WA context, will be highly regarded.

  • Experience in an EPC project environment would be highly regarded.

  • Able to supervise and undertake designs for Control, Industrial Communications and SCADA systems projects.

  • Experience in one or more of the following major infrastructure sectors of Water, Power, Renewables, Rail and Resources sector.

  • Experience leading teams developing EI&C designs.

  • Experience in development of proposals for complex infrastructure clients desirable.

  • Experience in Operational Technology (OT) and related cybersecurity desirable.

  • Demonstrate eligibility to be a Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia
